The months of September and October have been
very busy months for us and for V.E.T. Net.
We have had many shuttles here. We have had
five veterinarians from America, one from Australia,
two from England, an American dental team of
four, one pastor, one nurse and one businessman
- all from America. Many of these shuttles have
ministered most of their time in the countryside.
Several stayed here in Ulaanbaatar sharing their
expertise in our small animal clinic.
The
veterinary teams have touched the hearts of
Mongolians as well. Dedicated veterinary shuttles
have left behind their busy practices or faculty
positions to bless V.E.T. Net with their veterinary
expertise and spiritual guidance. One of the
veterinarians, whose first trip was here seven
years ago, was able to follow-up with a veterinarian
he had witnessed to in 1998. This year, 2005,
he was able to lead him to the Lord!!!! This
Mongolian veterinarian is presently a very influential
veterinarian throughout the country and we pray
that as he grows in the knowledge of God's Word,
that he will be able to impact many Mongolians
with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He has already
asked Richard to be available to answer his
questions as he starts learning Christian foundations
within his own church.
Veterinarians
from the different aimags (states) throughout
Mongolia continue to come to our training center
for a week of veterinary continuing education
(CE). They are always so grateful for the teaching,
and the drugs and equipment that they receive.
It always amazes Richard and me when they thank
V.E.T.Net for caring. Often times we hear them
say that never in the past has any group, including
their own government, ever paid any attention
to their needs as veterinarians or to the needs
of the herdsmen in the countryside. They continue
to refer to the love which they feel from each
V.E.T. Net team member. They just don't realize
that it is God's love reaching out to them.
The love of God is chasing after each one and
drawing them to Him! Richard, Mary, George and Sally Anna |
