They
ran to the bathroom hand in hand. I smiled to
myself. I knew something was up. I continued
to put away Bibles and clean my desk. Others
were washing dishes and preparing to leave.
I glanced over towards the bathroom - no girls.
I kept on working slowly at my desk anticipating
what might happen. One minute later I noticed
Bayaraa linking arms with the girls and walking
towards me. "Mary!" Bayaraa exclaimed
with a big smile, "We need you!" Bayaraa
and the girls walked briskly off to the other
room.
I
entered the room and all three had huge smiles.
Bayaraa translated for them and said that they
were ready to accept Jesus Christ as their personal
Lord and Savior and commit their lives to Him!
Halleluiah! After praying the prayer of salvation
they wanted to tell Richard of their decision
so they ran off to find their new brother in
the Lord. They had a joy unspeakable! It was
so very exciting!
As
we approach our two year anniversary living
in Mongolia, (February 14, 2006), we reflect
back to what seems like such a short time ago
when we made the decision to say "Yes,
we will go." At that time the decision
was to go for two years (which seemed like an
eternity then). As the two years has quickly
passed, we realize that our work is not finished
yet here in Mongolia. We do not sense a release
to leave yet. In fact, we have a tremendous
peace to stay. We will commit to another two
year term. We will have a short furlough this
summer and return to America from July to September.
During this time we will help George get settled
in what he will be doing over the next few years.
We hope to be able to spend time with John but
not sure where he will be stationed during those
months. We will also be visiting churches and
supporters. We are open to speak to groups,
churches or individuals; mainly anyone who wants
to hear about what God is doing in Mongolia.
In
September, Richard, Sally and I will return
to Mongolia. Sally is very happy that the Lord
is directing us to stay in Mongolia. She has
made some really good friends here even though
she misses her wonderful Tulsa friends. Fortunately
she can stay in touch with them through AIM
and MSN messaging and occasional visits back
to Tulsa. In His Service,
